Website Fraud
April 15, 2006 - it was reported on tios.co.za that over 12 websites are listed on the internet posing as official sites of the 2010 soccer World Cup to be held in South Africa - but none of them are official (the official 2010 site doesn't even exist yet). These opportunists have jumped on the bandwagon to register websites claiming to be the "official" website for the World Cup 2010 event. The Local Organising Committee (LOC) spokesman, Tumi Makgabo, said they were still using the Fifa website while they waited to get their own site set up.
A good time to point out that there is nothing official about the Cup2010.info , Cup2014.info or Cup2018.info websites.
