"If we pick up this momentum and run with it, if we take the plan given by [head coach] Wim [Rijsbergen] and the coaches and implement it quickly, there is no way we cannot qualify for 2010. I guarantee now that if the government is serious, particularly the Minister of Sports [Roger Boynes] and I think he is, and they pick up this plan and run with it, we shall be in Johannesburg without even having to have a play-off." Jack Warner, the Trinidad & Tobago Football Federation's special advisor |

"We have always been a country of hype and then, after that, the balloon is deflated. I think the balloon is now filled with air and keep that air in it, if we want it to fly all over the place. But if we keep punching pins into the balloon, then the air will come out. I think it’s a golden opportunity to keep that air in there and keep things filled, keep things organised, and if we do just that, I can’t see us having a problem." Trinidad and Tobago's former striker and new coach Everard “Gally” Cummings |
